Strong Turnout for LAFD Executive Team at the 2026 NAFD Presidents Banquet
The London Association of Funeral Directors (LAFD) was proudly represented at this year's National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) Annual Conference and AGM, held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
The highlight of the weekend’s social calendar was the prestigious Presidents Banquet, which saw a fantastic attendance from the LAFD executive committee, led by our current President, Adrian Saville.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the conclusion of Darryl Smith's exceptional tenure as NAFD National President. It also allowed our executive team to connect with regional associations from across the UK, strengthening ties and discussing the evolving landscape of the funeral profession.
A Weekend of Celebration and Growth
Beyond the glamour of the banquet, the four-day event was packed with vital updates for the sector. LAFD members took part in key discussions on industry regulation, business resilience, and the future of funeral service education. A major highlight of the weekend was the graduation ceremony, celebrating the hard work and dedication of the next generation of funeral professionals.
As an association, the LAFD remains committed to ensuring that London’s independent funeral directors have a strong voice at national level. Events like the NAFD Conference allow us to bring vital insights back to our regional members here in the capital.
