Meeting reports

Western district is back!  After the covid-imposed 3-year absence, the District Association held a meeting at Mortlake Crematorium on 27th July 2022. As is usual at the District’s meetings, the evening was a mix of business and social.

In addition to funeral directors, arrangers, operatives and suppliers, the meeting also welcomed celebrants and crematoria staff.

Retiring District Chairman Michael Tiney handed over the reins to Victoria Kibble (of Lodge Brothers) and, in his role as LAFD President, congratulated her on her election. District stalwart Ray Barnes was persuaded to continue as Treasurer. Attendees enjoyed an interesting presentation by Obitus. Michael provided an update on national and regional matters.

The atmosphere was enhanced by the fun summer catering arrangements. Many thanks to Obitus and Mortlake Crematorium for sponsoring a great evening.
